For its newest player class, TERA brings about the big guns. Like, really big. The Gunner, since it's called, can just be played because of the lithe high elves and '80s glam queen-like Castanics, and of their hands they search a little being a locomotive caught inside branches of your sapling pine. They also pose an intriguing question—when you may have guns this big and powerful inside world of Arborea, why even bother while using swords and recurve bows lugged around with the game's other classes?

Indeed, playing the Gunner feels just a little like playing the Terminator within the world of Lord on the Rings. It's all devoted to making big, bad things go boom, regardless of whether or not this's by pelting them purple "mana missiles" or by using an arc bomb that rolls across the ground just like a bowling ball before exploding  Tera XBOX Items and unsettling all however the biggest "BAMs" (big-ass monsters). Fire with the ground with Rocket Jump, and boom, you are going catapulting to safety.

And that's only the small stuff. The Gunner enters its own having a knobby, summonable robot named HB-7, who both heals the Gunner and occasionally dishes out some piddly damage. I found I could even teleport to your thing occasionally if I wished, allowing me to jump away from danger when I bit off greater than I could chew. (This rarely happened, though, as being the Gunner wears heavy armor.) And when I wanted to keep the pain sensation coming but couldn't free time to pull my trigger? I'd slap down a turret that will rain death for the foes around me. It's good things, but I did spot the turret had a frustrating habit of drawing more creatures in to the fray.

There's some strategy linked to all this: it isn't really just mindless shooting (or, no less than, it isn't when you play the class to its full potential.) The Gunner's best abilities rely with a new resource called Willpower, which accumulates any time your portable doomsday cannon leaves a lot more grumpkin or snark dying inside the pixels. My favorite by far will be the simple Burst Fire, which leaves enemies dancing in the rat-a-tat hail of bullets that they were gangsters caught from the sights of any 1920s Tommy Gun.

Build up Willpower to completely and you unleash considerably more visually stunning things. There's Bombardment, for example, an area-of-effect ability that calls down a rain of fire inside a designated spot. Most impressively, there's Balder's Vengeance, which sends your wispy Gunner up to a ball of lightning, whereupon it unleashes a protracted, frontal blast which hits everything in front of it with all the force of your freighter truck. I once used it using a BAM, and because it sat there stunned inside dirt for about five seconds, I was half convinced I'd one-shot strangely. I hadn't, which is probably the good thing. With such power, it's likely that not a soul would ever play another TERA class again.

I did, admittedly, get the associated maintenance a tad tiresome. Kills accumulate your Willpower, yes, but only gradually. Most on the time you're required to  Buy Tera Gold PS4 press the "Replenishment" hotkey frequently, which slowly adds around ten percent more mana and Willpower with each pass. It's obviously supposed to ensure the god-like abilities remain useful on boss fights along with the like, but specifically in those situations, I found it too routine. Half the time, admittedly, I experimented with convince myself that I was simply reloading my gun with each press. Even so, I can't deny that I never did not feel a rush once the meter reach full capacity and I could unleash hell just as before.

Under TERA's current design, the Gunner might are actually a quirky but otherwise formulaic class—little much better than a sorcerer with no robes. But the true beauty on the Gunner is just how freely it helps you to move. TERA always plays inside the appeal of the company's action combat, which certainly resembles Darksiders over, say, World of Warcraft, even so the majority of the company's existing skills root you in position as firmly as being a tombstone.

Much like World of Warcraft's Hunter class, the Gunner enables you to fire around the move. It's downright exciting sometimes, and also the dancing involved resulted in only the excessively large health pools of some with the monsters I encountered reminded me that I was playing an otherwise predictable MMORPG. TERA recently experimented with reinvigorate curiosity about its game while using new Fate of Arun expansion, even so the truth is the fact that all the hubbub about new zones and dungeons didn't rekindle my interest just as easily as my 45 minutes with this particular one new class.

Agile, powerful. and surprisingly tough, the Gunner class signifies that TERA has a number of good ideas up its sleeves yet and remains an MMORPG worth watching. At the very least, it's actually a fun approach to laugh in any respect the chumps who dared bring swords and sticks into a gunfight.
